Broadway in NY to Bacon Smoothies in Texas
Broadway in NY to Bacon smoothies in Texas
I’m lucky enough to have travelled to the US twice and it’s given me some of my favourite travel stories to date!
On my first trip across the pond I visited the Big Apple for my 21st Birthday. What more could I ask for on my birthday? I mean look at this view I got from the Rockefeller centre at night!
Despite the fact that I’ve only been there twice… here are my must-dos:
- Broadway – Must see a show…I queued up at the last minute ticket office for bargain tickets to see Matilda, so worth it!
- Ellen’s Stardust Diner – the waiters and waitresses put on a first class performance (and the food’s pretty ace as well)
- Shop in Macys – The largest department store in the world, I got lost for four hours (like actually lost?!)
I’ll have to stop myself from speaking about NYC now or I’ll go on about it all day…honestly ask my friends, I didn’t shut up for a whole month after I got back (like seriously!).
The second place I went to in US was a city that couldn’t have been more different than NYC. Houston, Texas. The only place where its acceptable to put bacon on an ice cream smoothie (for real – I have photographic evidence).
Just be sure to watch out for the guns, literally everyone has one there, even the ticket inspectors on busses, oh and the food will definitely give you a heart attack… OIL ON EVERYTHING (!!).
Oh yeah and that thing that looks like a bread roll in the photo? They call it a scone… don’t even get me started on the local language… just go and visit and hear it all for yourself.
