A bit About Me

I come from the south east of England where I live with my family and my black dog Boris. I enjoy travelling, cooking from different traditions, illustration, admiring ancient architecture and walks through nature. I have a particular interest in travel to places with an ancient culture and beautiful architecture, as I find the history of the country I’m visiting particularly interesting.

I am currently the Secretary for Reading University’s Fine Art Society, which runs a number of socials and classes for those who have an interest in Art. We are also hoping to collaborate on some socials with RUINED, the Archaeological society at the University of Reading after our inter-department collaboration in the Vale of Pewsey in summer 2016.

Favourite Travel Destination

Florence- the history of the place is amazing. It was a hub of intellectual and artistic talent during the renaissance, and the whole city appears to have been frozen in time. The wonderful food and wine, of course, topped off the experience.

Dream Travel Destination

I hope to travel to Sri Lanka to see some of the historical temples and amazing landscapes.

Hotel or Hostel?

Hostel. Hotels are ideal for romantic getaways and weekend breaks, but backpacking in a hostel means making new friends and meeting interesting people, all for less money!

Top Travel Tip?

Find a friend. Sharing the experience is so much more rewarding than experiencing everything solo.
